Dear Lincoln Elementary Families,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone to the 2026-2027 school year! As the new Principal at Lincoln, I am looking forward with great anticipation and excitement to getting to know all of you and working together for a great school year! I feel blessed to start my 33rd year in education with Lincoln and the entire JSD117 community! My mission in life is to be fully dedicated to providing my students, my colleagues, my community, and my family the very best I have to offer by being an active listener, a thoughtful friend, an informed example, a kind critic, a creative problem solver, and a servant leader focused on building and maintaining meaningful relationships. A little about me: I am married to Pastor Jeffrey Heil for (almost) 33 years. I have three children (and also a beautiful daughter-in-law), two amazing sisters and two furry dog babies. My husband and I live in Carrollton. Our family enjoys spending time taking walks/hikes, watching movies and playing games together. We also LOVE watching our son, Jayson, act (he’s a professional actor) and are thrilled to witness our baby girl's successes in her freshman year at Illinois State University. I was born and raised in Michigan and am a HUGE UofM fan (Go Blue!!). My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and I love fall and winter the most!
This year our school theme is, "Lincoln Lions are Diving Deep Into Learning!” Grab your snorkel, adjust your compass, and get ready! Here's to smooth seas, exciting discoveries, and an unforgettable school year!
